I began my practice of law as a prosecutor in criminal court in Massachusetts. I relocated to Illinois and spent three years as a public defender. Since 2008 I have lived and been in private practice in Minnesota. My immigration practice, which began in 2010, now focuses on cases in which criminal charges and/or convictions complicate the immigration process. I am fluent in Spanish and the majority of my clients come from Mexico, Honduras, and El Salvador. I also handle select international divorce cases, particularly where they are connected to immigration.
