Heather Drabek Prendergast, an Elected Director on AILA’s Board of Governors, practices in Cleveland, OH where she is a partner with Aljijakli, Kosseff & Prendergast, LLC, a boutique immigration law firm with offices in Cleveland and New York, NY. She is currently Chair of AILA's Annual Awards Committee, Vice-Chair of AILA's Governance Committee, and a member of AILA’s National Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Liaison Committee, as well as AILA's Media Advocacy and Distance Learning Committees. Heather previously served as Chair of AILA’s National ICE Liaison Committee, Vice-Chair of the Department of State Liaison Committee, and Chair of AILA University. Her practice focuses on employment-based immigration for skilled professionals; complex removal defense including trials, appeals, and federal court litigation; family-based immigration; asylum; and naturalization.
