Prior to her current employment, she was a staff attorney for Catholic Charities Community Services where she handled the detained juvenile docket, providing pro bono representation to detained unaccompanied minors as well as legal orientations. She also represented immigrants from all over the world in a wide range of immigration matters including Asylum, Withholding, CAT, Cancellation of Removal and 212(c) relief She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico Law School in 2005 after having obtained a bachelors degree (magna cum laude) in Social Work from said University. Since Law School she has focused her practice in Immigration and Naturalization Law, having worked for both law firms and non profit organizations. She has experience working with children, and victims of crimes and domestic violence. She has been a lecturer/presenter at PACE University, the University of Puerto Rico, the New York Immigration Coalition, and the New York Bar.
