Erika Jurado-Graham was born in El Paso, Texas and raised in Monterrey, Mexico by a Mexican single mother. Following the 1994 Economic Crisis in Mexico, her mother and close relatives immigrated to the United States in search of better economic opportunities. Erika was attending law school at the time her family moved to the U.S. and she stayed behind to complete her studies. Erika Jurado-Graham graduated from Law School in Mexico at the top of her class, and shortly  moved to the United States with her family.

Later, Erika Jurado-Graham attended Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas, where she obtained a Juris-Doctorate Degree. While in Law School, Erika Jurado-Graham was the president of the Hispanic American Law Student Association, and two-term secretary of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy. Following her graduation, she established her own practice at the heart of the Hispanic Community in Kansas City, Kansas.

Erika is a frequent guest at local radio and television shows where she discusses topics that affect the immigrant community. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Wyandotte Bar Association, and she is licensed to practice law in Kansas, Missouri, and the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. Erika is also fully licensed to practice in Mexico.
