Fernando M. Palacios was educated in his native country of Cuba where he received a Juris Doctorate Degree from Universidad de la Habana on November 8, 1955. He practiced law in Havana, Cuba after his admission to the Tribunal Supremo de Cuba and the College of Attorneys of Havana, Cuba on December 5, 1955. His practice consisted of civil litigation, contracts, business law, real property, probate, wills and family law, which he pursued successfully until June 8, 1961.
When he came to the United States, Mr. Palacios was employed as a teacher by the School Board of Brevard County, Florida, teaching Spanish Language courses at Southwest Junior High School, Central Junior High School and Satellite High School. He attended the University of Florida receiving a Masters Degree in Education in 1968, later graduating from the Cuban American Lawyers Program on June 14, 1975,
earning admittance to The Florida Bar on May 31, 1977.
Mr. Palacios has practiced law in Brevard County for nearly thirty one years. His practice has included business law, civil litigation, international law, family law, real property, wills, trusts and probate and immigration and naturalization law. Since 1981, Mr. Palacios has focused the majority of his practice in the area of immigration and naturalization. He has been admitted to practice law before all State Courts, including the Florida Supreme Court, US Middle District of Florida, US Southern District of Florida and the US Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
Mr. Palacios is also a member of the Florida Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Brevard Bar Association.
