I have been practicing immigration law as a sole practitioner since September 1994.  I primarily handle business immigration issues.  I assist business clients with nonimmigrant work visas (H, E, L, O, R), (PERM, RIR and traditional), employment based petitions (EB1, EB2 and EB3), and immigrant visa processing.  In the business arena, my clients range from some of the largest multinational corporations in the world to small start-up businesses. I also help many entertainers (dancers/choreographers/singers/songwriters/actors) with O visas and EB1 extraordinary ability petitions.

In the family immigration arena I help families reunite from around the world, help recently married individuals obtain immigration papers, and help battered spouses fight for their green cards after they have had the courage to leave abusive situations.

Over the years, I have dedicated a substantial amount of time disseminating information about immigration issues to the public.  First, I maintain a facebook page with useful information related to immigration law.  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Law-Office-of-Kevin-Levine/320536642175#!/pages/Law-Office-of-Kevin-Levine/320536642175?sk=wall    Second, I have an immigration law website at www.horitsu.com.  I have also written over 250 question/answer articles on immigration related issues for a popular Japanese magazine — Lighthouse — which is primarily distributed in Southern California.  Third, for the past few years I have been selected to contribute an immigration article in the most popular Japanese ethnic telephone books in Southern California, The Japanese “Rafu” Telephone Guide.  This selection is due to my reputation within the Japanese community for being a knowledgeable and honest immigration attorney.

More important than keeping the public informed about immigration issues, I pride myself for keeping my clients informed.  Therefore, I do not end my day until I return all of my phone calls.  No excuses.  Equally important, I am personally involved with all of the cases in my office at all stages.  This is crucial in immigration law since details are significant.

According to an INS spokesperson as reported The Washington Post on April 24, 2001, “Immigration is a mystery and a mastery of obfuscation, and the lawyers who can figure it out are worth their weight in gold.”

Professionally, I am a member of the California Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, LA County Bar Immigration Law Section, and the American Bar Association.
