Guilherme Lopes is the founder and managing partner of Lopes Law Immigration Attorneys and was awarded Best Brazilian Immigration Lawyer in Orlando in 2023 at the Tudo Para Brasileiros Awards.
Guilherme was born in Brasília, Federal District, in 1997. He entered law school at the age of 16, graduating from UniCEUB in 2018. He then pursued a postgraduate degree in Legal Order and the Public Ministry at the Higher School of the Public Ministry of the Federal District and Territories.
He worked at the Federal District's Court of Justice, also worked at the Attorney General's Office, and became a partner at Lopes & Sousa Advogados.
In 2019 he came to the US to pursue his Master degree in Law (LL.M.). In 2020, he obtained his Master's degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
In 2022, he was admitted to the New York BAR and licensed as an immigration lawyer in Florida.
That same year, he incorporated Lopes Law in Orlando.
The firm now has approximately 100 employees, and despite practicing immigration law for less than two years, they have had over 200 visas approved, the majority of which were in EB1, EB2, EB2-NIW, and EB3 processes.
