ABOUT LILIA ALCARAZ
Lilia G. Alcaraz is a certified specialist in immigration and nationality law by the State Bar of California Department of Legal Specialization. She leads the firm's immigration and global migration practice group. She represents clients in all areas of immigration law, including family, employment, and business immigration. Her clients include established corporations, start-up companies, and individuals from a wide range of educational and cultural backgrounds.
She assists individuals in obtaining legal immigration status through family or self petitions, including obtaining green cards through marriage for our clients. She also advises businesses on immigration compliance issues, coordinates I-9 audits, and lectures to managers on worksite compliance programs.
Ms. Alcaraz defends clients from deportation before immigration courts across the United States. She also represents individuals before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Alcaraz has obtained several favorable published opinions before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
She has served as an author for the AILA Annual Conference Publication and has served as a Lead Panel Discussion Leader for the AILA Annual Conference.
During law school, Ms. Alcaraz was a judicial intern for The Honorable Dean A. LeVay for the United States Immigration Court in Phoenix, Arizona. She also studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, France, and she completed post-graduate legal studies in taxation at the University of Denver.
