I have been practicing exclusively in immigration laws since 1998.  I represent businesses and individuals across the U.S. and overseas. I began my legal career in 1997 with a boutique immigration law firm in San Francisco.  During the early years of my career, I had a very broad exposure to both business and family immigration matters.  In 2001, I joined a general practice law firm in San Francisco in charge of employment and work visa matters for the firm’s high-profile corporate clients in e-commerce, bio-tech, engineering, insurance, banking, hospitality, among other industries.  Since I embarked on my  solo practice, I've also served as Of Counsel in immigration laws for a number of law firms representing technology and emerging companies on founders and work visa matters.

My business immigration practice includes: nonimmigrant visas for foreign professionals (H-1B Specialty Occupation and NAFTA TN Professional) and artists (O-1); international personnel transfers (L-1); international trainee programs (H-3); labor certification (PERM) applications for permanent employment (EB-2/3); temporary work visas and permanent residence for internationally acclaimed artists, scientists, and researchers(EB-1-1; EB-1-2; EB-1-3); investor permanent residence (EB-5); immigration matters for family dependents; treaty investor/trader visas (E-1/E-2); visas for religious workers (R-1 & EB-4); and other employment related immigration matters such as LCA audit or I-9 compliance.

My clients range from individual professionals to large multinational corporations.  I regularly work with employees, entrepreneurs, and HR personnel across various industries including law firms, investment and accounting firms, semiconductor manufacturers, software developers, architecture firms and real estate developers, publishing companies, bio-technology research organizations, industrial manufacturing, civil engineering, financial services, international trade, hospitality and tourism, as well as academic institutions and non-profit organizations.

In addition to practicing law, I regularly volunteer my legal skills and knowledge to the communities around me.  I served as a visa advisor for the Silicon Valley Moon Festival assisting a Chinese opera performer to come to the US for special cultural events.  I've also engaged in seminars and speaking events for the International Student Club at the University of California, Berkeley, addressing visa options after graduation for international students.  I had also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Fu-Jen Catholic University Alumni Association of Northern California.  I regularly write articles for a Chinese news publisher, the World Journal of Northern California, on topics of maintaining permanent residence status, citizenship, and visa matters.

I invite and encourage you to contact my office at 415-576-0700 to find out what I can do for you.
